Club JC (Sunday School)
Mission Statement
St Augustine's attaches great value to the work done for, and with, young people in Club JC. Set out below are the aims of Club JC. It is hoped through the implementation of these aims that the young people who we come into contact with will become good Christian citizens and be ready to take their place in the local community. The leaders of Club JC aim to provide the young people with a sense of:
- Belonging: to help children & young people to become part of the church family.
- Growing: to help children & young people develop and grow in their own faith.
- Believing: to help children & young people know Jesus as their Saviour & friend.

Moving Up...
Insurance restrictions mean that St. Augustine's can only take responsibility for Climbers at the age of 3 years old.
The age groups are based on the school calendar year. Thus, the young people move into the next age group at the beginning of the school year (September) in which they are either 7 (Explorers) or 11 (Pathfinders). After Easter, any young people in their final year of Explorers may attend the Pathfinder Wednesday evening Club in addition to Explorers on Sunday mornings.
Exceptions Rather than the Rule?
The above age groups are to allow the groups to function at their best for ALL youngsters. Movements between groups may take place at slightly different times providing there is agreement between the leaders of both groups and the children's co-ordinator. Such requests may come from either the youngsters, parents or group leaders. Such decisions are taken in the best interests of the groups as a whole and not only on the needs of any one young person.
